We are currently seeking a **Koorie Liaison Officer **to support stakeholders and strengthen business activity. Reporting to the Head of Indigenous Engagement, the Koorie Liaison Officer is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that engage and mentor teams at all levels. Working in the Djjimbayang Indigenous Education Centre and at the Echuca campus, you will work alongside Koorie Student Support Officers and First Nations students. You will use your communication and organisation skills to identify gaps in program delivery and support the development of culturally safe training programs. Coordinating between First Nations communities and business, you will identify strategies that assist First Nations organisations in building capacity and achieving their strategic goals. The Koorie Liaison Officer will play a pivotal role in promoting and reporting on the Wurreker strategy and acts as a representative for Bendigo Kangan Institute. The position is based at our Bendigo campus with travel across the region to Echuca. There is flexibility to be based in Echuca if you prefer, with regular travel to Bendigo.

**We are excited about you because you have**:
- Prior experience of working with First Nations Communities and held in high respect within the local First Nations of the regions
- Certificate IV and/or above qualification in Leadership and Management, Community Services or Project Development and/or high level of experience of working within these fields of expertise.
- A valid driver licence, current Working with Children Clearance, and National Police Check clearance.

- Current Police Check
- Certified Right to Work document - Passport/Visa/Citizenship or Birth Certificate
