**What you'll be doing**
- The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
- SESLHD Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Service offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and cares. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St. George and Sutherland Hospitals.
- The Quality and Improvement Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating quality assurance and improvement activities and assisting executive staff, professional leads, service and administration managers and clinicians to identify, plan and implement quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure the South Eastern Sydney Drug & Alcohol Service is continually improving and meets health accreditation requirements. The position provides advice regarding policies and quality systems governance, as well as prepare and present robust, logical, timely reports and other documents. This role works across district D&A services, and in consultation with the D&A Governance Group takes a lead in accreditation, quality reporting and maintenance requirements.**_Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing._**

**_ All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW._**

**_ Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations._**

- Tertiary qualifications in health or social sciences and/or relevant experience in the drug and alcohol community with an understanding of the service delivery priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and managing quality systems, projects and programs including demonstrated experience in change management practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of the concepts and processes of risk management and the ability to apply, monitor and investigate processes to minimise adverse events in line with the Australian Council of HealthCare Standards (ACHS) review and accreditation processes.
- Demonstrated high level management and organisational skills and capacity to provide high quality deliverables within agreed timeframe.
- High level verbal and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach.
- Demonstrated ability to provide input, interpret, monitor and evaluate policies, procedures and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders.
