Warrandyte Childcare and Preschool Centre is a leading not-for-profit, community-based organisation on the outskirts of Melbourne and is managed by a parent committee. The Centre has been a significant part of the Warrandyte Community since 1985. Over time, the Centre has evolved to incorporate both long day care and government funded kindergarten programs, servicing the needs of the local community. Our children learn and grow in an environment of warmth, nurturing and genuine loving care. Children’s imagination, curiosity and creative expression is highly valued and encouraged during play.

**Description**

We are seeking a highly motivated educator who shares our core values and who is willing to continue growing in their early education practices. The applicant should demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and team members; have a willingness to be progressive and critically reflect; who values continual professional development and has a strong commitment to child safety. In this role you will work alongside a team of passionate and dedicated educators who are committed to providing a stimulating, positive, nurturing environment, whilst supporting all children to feel safe and secure with a sense of belonging. You will conduct yourself in a professional manner, have a sound understanding of the ELYF, VEYLDF, Child Safe Standards and play based learning practices. You must also be willing to embed sustainable practices throughout the service and have a strong focus on outdoor play and connection to the natural world. Desirable attributes: team orientated, love for young children, flexible, dedicated, supportive, reflective, strong communication and interpersonal skills and respectful of all within the community.
