**The Position**
ELTHAM College seeks to appoint an inspirational and innovative educator to the position of Principal & CEO, commencing in January 2024, following the impending retirement of Mr Simone Le Plastrier. Mr Le Plastrier has led ELTHAM College with distinction for nearly ten years and has made a significant contribution to the College during his tenure.
Reporting to the College Board, the Principal will build on the current strengths of the school, taking it to greater heights to ensure that our young people engage with quality learning and connect this to their world, understand their effect on it, use their creativity to help shape it in positive ways and provide future leadership in it.
Leading a cohesive and aligned senior leadership team, the Principal will inspire confidence in the College, not only driving excellence in educational and pastoral outcomes but also building on the safe, caring and vibrant community that is ELTHAM College. Promoting strong enrolment levels, financial stability, effective operational management, wellbeing, a growth in philanthropy and delivery of a Master Plan will also be key aspects of this position.
You are an inspiring and authentic contemporary educational leader who values the importance of building capacity in those with whom you work. With demonstrable experience in leading and executing a vision and strategy in a complex educational environment, you are forward thinking and innovative. You have comprehensive knowledge and experience in education, strong business acumen and are a strategic thinker with demonstrated success in driving systemic change aligned to a Strategic Plan.
Superior communication and collaboration skills will combine with exceptional stakeholder management experience to build sustainable relationships across a broad community. A creative outlook combined with high emotional intelligence and a calm and pragmatic demeanour will ensure success in this leadership position. Post graduate qualifications with a minimum level equivalent to Masters in Education Leadership are required.
**The Organisation**
ELTHAM College is a non-religious, coeducational, independent, open entry College offering Early Learning to Year 12 with a unique Year 9 city experience.
