**What you'll be doing**:
A fantastic opportunity is now available with the Medical/Surgical Outpatients Department for a dedicated Administration Officer in a Permanent Full time role. This role is situated at Nepean Hospital.

Within this role you will provide effective and efficient frontline customer service to patients and clients attending clinics and to provide clerical support to clinical teams.
Your role as the Administration Officer will see you complete new patient registrations and electronic record updates, ensuring accuracy and completeness of patient demographic information using iPM, Register attendances, schedule, cancel and rebook appointments using iPM and to Identify and record correct financial classifications, including Medicare Ineligible, DVA and compensable classifications in accordance with NSW Ministry of Health policy and complete log sheets for compensable patients as required.

**Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.**

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Demonstrated experience in a clinic setting including reception duties, phone enquiries, appointment scheduling and data entry.
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare eligibility and billing practices.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes.
- Ability to be flexible and display initiative.
