**The Role**:
We are searching an Assistant Manager to be a part of our flagship store in Melbourne Central. This store is the largest in Australia, and operates directly below the iconic Shot Tower. Our innovative eco-store is decked out with sustainably sourced furniture made from repurposed and recycled materials. You will be working with a bubbly, supportive and ethically driven team with a strong focus on team work and peer-to-peer learning.
In addition to this, strong sales driving skills are a must. You must have experience in managing a busy shop floor, and know how best to impact KPIs to achieve your sales targets. You have a passion for creating bespoke customer experiences, and are able to develop your team in this area. You must be a manager who loves to be on the shop floor, leading your team, as opposed to in the back completing admin. This will be your dream role if you love achieving your sales targets, while giving each customer an incredible experience.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Motivating, growing and developing staff into a high performing team.
- Working with your Store Manager and Supervisors to create a strong leadership team in-store.
- Driving sales, achieving targets and financial goals.
- Contributing to a positive culture where customers are prioritised.
- Supporting staff with career development through targeted training, goal setting and regular appraisals.
- Training staff on customer service, company history, product knowledge, and company policy and procedures.
- Planning and delivering rosters within set wage budgets.
- Maintaining a high standard of store presentation.
- Ensuring stock management procedures are adhered to.
- Helping to create a fun and dynamic shop atmosphere.
- Assisting with other tasks when needed - we work as a team
