**YHA** is currently seeking a dedicated **Assistant Manager** to assist in the management of Melbourne Central property. Supported by a well-established Property Manager and leading a close knit and vibrant team, this role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your leadership skills whilst supporting the day-to-day management of the property. **Responsibilities include**:

- Assisting the Property Manager in the onboarding and development of team members.
- Supporting front office operations by handling guest queries and feedback, selling YHA products, and working to ensure the team is providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Providing leadership, guidance and coaching for team members, with a focus on development and training.
- Supporting the Property Manager with the achievement of revenue targets and managing wage and other costs.
- Maintaining the quality and standards of the YHA brand.
- Assuming responsibility for **Melbourne Central** YHA in the Property Manager's absence.

- Excellent people management skills with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team.
- Computer literate with fantastic attention to detail.
- Passionate about providing memorable guest experiences.
- Able to work well under pressure and problem-solve with a cool head.
- Happy to step into any role when necessary and perform a wide range of duties.
- A positive, proactive person with creativity, great ideas, and a sense of fun.
- A solid understanding and experience with rostering including costing and wage control would be an added bonus
- Accommodation experience is highly desirable.
