**Your new role**

The Health & Safety Manager in conjunction with the Head of Safety - ANZ will ensure that risks to our employees and temporary contractors are identified and effectively managed so far as is reasonably practicable. The Health & Safety Manager implements procedures within the Hays Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) and ensures the effective management and sustainable return to work of individuals who have sustained a work-related injury.

As the Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for:

- The development and implementation of H&S planning for WA including alignment with ANZ national strategy
- Consulting, cooperating and coordinating with clients, temporary workers and employees regarding the health and safety of our workers and where necessary, developing and implementing recommendations for improvement
- Undertaking client site visits to undertake temporary worker job risk assessments and providing reports accordingly
- Reporting, escalating, investigating and recording incidents, hazards, injuries or illnesses as well as developing corrective actions and following up with clients and temporary contractors on agreed actions to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
- Contributing to the continuous performance improvement of H&S across the region
- Attending relevant WA management and ANZ National H&S team meetings, providing necessary reports, advice and direction if and where required
- Managing and developing the WA Return-to-Work Coordinator

**What you'll need to succeed**

We are looking for a hands-on Health and Safety Manager to join our team who has the appropriate level of qualifications and experience:

- Minimum of a Certificate IV in H&S (tertiary level desirable)
- Significant experience in the management of H&S
- Ideally have experience working with labour hire
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of H&S legislation
- Current class C driver license
- Experience with a multi-site employer
- ICAM Investigation techniques (desirable)
- Demonstrates behaviour which supports the Hays values - Build Partnerships, Think Beyond and Do the Right Thing
