**About the role**

As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you will provide business-focused HR advice and services that align to the organisational objectives at both the strategic and operational level.The HRBP acts as a consultant to management on all employee relation (ER) issues and supports the Head of HR with employee development initiatives, organisational design and development.

The HRBP also acts as a change agent by assessing and anticipating HR related needs and developing solutions that are aligned with the overall business strategy. The position builds strong relationships across the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects SA’s business objectives and iCARE values.

**What you'll do**
- Achieve HR deliverables and continuous improvement projects, in line with operational plans and budget requirements
- Ensure all activities comply with the relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards
- Develop effective and cooperative relationships with management and employees to support and enable a productive and positive work environment
- Advise, influence, facilitate implementation and integration of people initiatives and people management issues to enable achievement of business objectives
- Provide coaching and advice to management on a variety of people issues regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws, with the aim of assisting all levels to enhance their people management and leaderships skills
- Undertake a range of HR/ER services and projects including performance management, counselling and dispute resolution, management coaching/support and advice, change management and communication, rehabilitation and positions descriptions
- Ensure all the steps for on-boarding new starters and off-boarding existing employees has been completed
- Maintain SA’s HRIS (Employment Hero) to ensure accuracy
- Support the maintenance of company policies and procedures
- Balance competing interests of various stakeholders and manage multiple deliverables
- Anticipate, analyse and interpret HR/ER issues impacting Standards Australia
- Lead by example to support SA’s iCARE values - Integrity, Courage, Accountable, Respect, Excellence
- Continual improvement in both process and practice including continual challenging of the status quo to ensure ongoing efficiency and optimisation

**About you**
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent level of experience across required areas of expertise
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Employment Hero is advantageous
- Understanding of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards
- Sound project management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes
- High level professional written and verbal communication
- An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve common objectives
- Initiative taken to anticipate and resolve problems and develop effective working arrangements to maximise time effectiveness
- A commitment to process improvement and seeking ways to streamline procedures
- Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail across all areas of human resources in a high volume, fast-paced environment
