- As the UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for designing products and features within our digital ecosystem, that focus on delivering world class user experiences for our customers and people.
- You will understand how to support digital producers around best practice and governance of design components, design systems, and be familiar with large scale enterprise content management systems like AEM.
- Working with a cross functional team including content producers, experience design leads, content leads, marketing and engineering teams you will be responsible for the creation and smooth delivery of designs through our publishing systems, and be a trusted advisor to the Qantas content teams regarding design, usability and accessibility best practice.
- To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to bring together customer needs, business goals and technical parameters.
- You’ll have Tertiary qualification in Design and/or relevant tertiary qualification-
- A robust portfolio showcasing your design process, creative thinking and solutions to complex design challenges.-
- Hands-on experience designing product (UX/UI) from conception to minimum viable product through to scaled launch and adoption.-
- Expert proficiency with current day design tools and software including Figma and Creative Suite-
- Strong understanding of design principles, user-centred design and usability best practice-
- Demonstrated research skills to interpret customer insights, user behaviours and pain points, as well as the ability to conduct evaluative customer testing on designs-
- A strong test and learn mindset and experience with data led design and experimentation-
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence and inform design outcomes-
- Comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams of product managers, service, visual designers and engineers-
- A keen eye for design detail, consistency and a portfolio that showcases this-
- Familiarity working with content management systems - experience with Adobe Experience Manager highly desirable.-
- A process-oriented mindset that ensures the effective communication of design guidelines, standards and best practice-
- Experience with Agile methodologies-
- A deep understanding of mobile first and responsive design-
- Experience in delivering accessible products-
