**The Opportunity**

Cochlear has a 12-month maternity cover contract opportunity for a Corporate Communications Lead, reporting to the Acting VP, Communications & Brand. Based in our Sydney office location, the successful Corporate Communications Lead will be responsible for external corporate communications to promote Cochlear as a company, as well as its products and services, protect and enhance its reputation, and support sales and revenue growth.

Responsibilities include:

- Setting, implementing and managing the global external corporate communications strategy, in alignment with Cochlear’s business priorities.
- Ensuring consistency and alignment with the global Cochlear business and brand strategies.
- Driving alignment to, and supporting further development of, Cochlear’s communications strategies by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and building alliances to ensure that Cochlear is well positioned in the marketplace.
- Managing relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders across functions, regions and countries, as well as external partners, vendors and consultants.

**About You. **As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- At least 10 years of corporate communications experience; preferably global / HQ experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Brand or other relevant background
- Communications / marketing experience in a health, consumer or technology environment - business to consumer
- Demonstrated track record in developing and managing initiatives to support corporate communications, reputation and strategy
- Strong ability to influence others (internal and external stakeholders) through credible actions and effective negotiations
- Regional and/or country marketing experience / working in a large, matrixed organisation
