- Full-time, three (3) year fixed term contract
- Commencement Salary: $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
**About the Role**
The Research Fellow will contribute to the research efforts of the Laser Physics and Photonics Devices Laboratory (LPPDL) research team within UniSA STEM and be a member of the “ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS)”.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Conduct high-quality research independently or under limited supervision and in collaboration with industry and other stakeholders
- Independently or under limited supervision, communicate research outcomes in both verbal and written form including presentations and reports to the research team
- Ensure delivery of project’s research milestones, objectives and work programs are met on time, within budget and to the industry partner’s satisfaction
- Develop a record of independent research that results in high-quality publications
**Essential Skills and Experience**
- A PhD qualification in experimental physics (including lasers, optics or combs)
- Demonstrated research productivity as a postdoctoral researcher, with experience relevant to at least one COMBS research strand
- Demonstrated experimental skills in at least one area, including laser frequency combs, laser resonators, free-space lasers, laser noise analysis and solid-state laser/comb engineering
- Evidence of participation in external activities such as industry or community engagement relevant to the field of research
- Record of independent research resulting in high-quality publications and evidence of growing citation impact
