**We are seeking expressions of interest for Casual Project Linguist/Officer.**

**Casual Professional rates and an employer contribution of 11% superannuation will apply.**

The Project Linguist/Officer will work on Indigenous language projects based out of the University of Adelaide, South Australia and may involve remote community work.

The role will involve working as part of a small team to work on language revival and maintenance projects across a broad range of indigenous languages around South Australia. Responsibilities may include language documentation, the production of language resources and assisting in the delivery of language workshops around the state.

Successful applicants will need to be able to work and operate with a level of self sufficiency within Indigenous communities and language contexts.

The role would suit an early career linguistics or community development graduate with a BA (Hons) in Linguistics or equivalent, there is scope for community development and anthropology graduates with a proven history in working with indigenous communities or on indigenous projects to apply.

Mobile Language Team is a multi discipline community engagement team bridging the gap between academic research and community engagement.

Based out of the University of Adelaide and working across the length and breadth of South Australia, the Mobile Language Team prides itself on expertise from not only linguistics but also the education sectors, health sectors, community advocacy sectors and cultural and language experts.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Proven knowledge of Australian indigenous languages
- Experience working and consulting with indigenous communities and have the
- Ability to envision and execute a language project from start to completion
- A BA (Hons) in Linguistics or equivalent.
