Our client is seeking an **ICT Procurement Specialist** to play a crucial role in leading complex and high-value strategic procurement activities.

Your expertise will be utilized to navigate Queensland Government contracting frameworks, including QITC/GITC, and General Goods and Services, while adhering to government policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities and Experience required**:

- Independently assess procurement risks and provide expert guidance in strategic procurement.
- Develop sourcing and contracting strategies, as well as procurement plan documentation.
- Review and refine specifications to ensure accurate definition of business requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop tender documentation, including evaluation plans, in alignment with defined requirements.
- Ensure probity requirements are met during the go-to-market and evaluation process.
- Develop contracts, working closely with stakeholders to address the department's needs and objectives.
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies for contract negotiations, as needed.
- Lead high-value and high-risk contract negotiations.
- Represent procurement at board meetings and steering committees, as required.
- Stay updated on Queensland Procurement Policy, relevant Conditions of Contract, Contract Law, and other legislative issues related to contracting.
- Maintain honest, ethical, and equitable processes in tender and contract dealings, adhering to probity standards.
- Undertake contract management activities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Varied experience across the public and private sectors is highly desirable.
