**About Chief Financial Officer Group**
The Finance team's core objective is to advance University strategy through financial leadership and innovation, strategic sourcing and contracting. The Corporate Finance Property & Sustainability Team (CFPS) is part of the CFO Group and includes responsibility for design and implementation of the University’s Estate Plan as well as the development function of the University’s major strategic property initiatives, aligned with the Development Framework.

**About the Role**
As the Estate Planning Officer, you will work closely with the Estate Planning team to support the development of strategic property-related initiatives in alignment with the University’s Estate Plan and Master Plan. You will provide assistance across a broad range of projects, campus design and planning initiatives, and will actively support the team to ensure successful project planning and implementation.

At the forefront of shaping the future planning and design of our diverse campuses, you will support the implementation of master planning projects, plans and objectives. You will play an important role in assisting with the development of strategy documents, guidelines and standards, project briefs, and proposals, as relevant to design and planning across the estate.

Responsibilities include:

- **Research and Analysis**: Undertaking research, data-gathering and analysis in physical and virtual infrastructure, processes and operations to support the feasibility and best-practice design of initiatives that inform effective campus planning and renewal.
- **Design and Planning**: Communicating complex design-related information, and providing assistance through knowledge of planning and design software, including but not limited to CAD and graphic design programs.
- **Collaboration**: Assisting the Estate Planning team in the development of key estate-related initiatives, activities, and priorities, and preparing graphic presentations, briefings and reports for senior management to support the communication of estate planning goals to internal and external stakeholders.
- **Sustainability**: Assisting in identifying the impact of sustainability issues on matters relating to the University’s estate, and providing support to ensure workstreams adopt sustainable design solutions in accordance with the University’s Sustainability Plan.
- **Procurement**: Supporting the procurement, on-boarding and day-to-day engagement of external consultants in accordance with university policy, procedure and compliance requirements.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional design, planning and communication skills and the ability to express your ideas clearly and effectively. You will have experience in project management, strategic planning and/or design management in large and complex organisations. You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, consistently showing initiative and a positive and professional work ethic. You will also have well-rounded written and spoken communication skills, including an excellent collaborative skillset to successfully engage and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will also have:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (including but not limited to Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or Project Management) or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated organisational, research and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and plan and deliver multiple project activities concurrently in a fast-paced working environment.
- Experience in project or design management, preferably as relevant to the development of major initiatives and/or strategies with significant impact to business and/or operations.
- Excellent computing skills, with proficiency in design-based software including CAD, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including the ability to learn new systems quickly.
