There are multiple Site Interpreter vacancies available at the historic Adelaide Gaol within the heart of the Adelaide CBD.

Reporting to the Site Coordinator, the Site Interpreter supports the site through assisting in the display and publication of historical information and materials. The incumbent also performs other associated work including researching and gathering historic information to educate the public through the delivery of educational tours for schools and special interest groups, and through the hosting of children’s birthday parties.

Key role outcomes:

- Children’s birthday parties are hosted ensuring that they are engaging and well executed.
- Assisting in the production and promotion of special and standard exhibitions and the staging of display material.
- Exhibits are maintained and are kept clean and tidy.
- A range of interesting educational tours are delivered that interpret, inform and/or teach the history of the Adelaide Gaol.
- The sales of tours and souvenirs, food and beverages are maximised through a high standard of consistently friendly service.

**Contract**:
Contract for up to 12 months

**Special Conditions**:

- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- Demonstrates ability to work alone and be self-reliant.

**Remuneration**:
GSE3 - $35.64 min - $36.02 max including 25% leave loading in lieu of annual leave and sick leave
