As the Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement process, from developing sourcing plans to contract management. You will establish procurement strategies, sourcing and negotiating commercial agreements, overseeing tendering processes, and managing ongoing contracts. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will collaborate with key business stakeholders, providing expert guidance to achieve optimal delivery and cost outcomes.

**Description**

The Procurement Specialist will work with the Procurement Category Lead (Indirect) and stakeholders within the business to develop and execute sourcing strategies for low value procurement categories, execute RFx, undertake commercial negotiations, manage disputes and undertake purchasing activities.

Reporting to the Procurement Category Lead, you will work on complex sourcing strategies and contribute to supplier relationship and operational contract management.

**You will**:

- Drive and implement overall procurement policy and forecasting process within business rules
- Monitoring market trends, supplier spending and opportunities to develop and implement category strategies for continuous improvement of the business
- Resolving Procurement Management issues that are escalated
- Holding regular meetings with suppliers around KPI's, incidents, order backlogs
- Maintain and develop excellent relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Understanding business requirements and translating these into sourcing requirements and Scopes of Work
- Building sourcing strategies which are aligned to the overall Procurement strategy for the business, socialising these with business stakeholders and gaining endorsement to proceed to execution.
- Analysing responses from Vendors both in terms of price, quality and service delivery
- Finalising purchasing either via PO or Contract including the required negotiations
- Ability to contribute to the broader team in terms of tools, frameworks and issue resolution

**Profile**

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of 3+ years working in all aspects of an end-to end procurement cycle.

Bachelors in Business, Supply Chain or related field is preferable.

**Your background will demonstrate**:

- Ability to provide technical guidance when required on costing, budgeting and financial assessment of procurement proposals
- Previous experience working in Government is desirable
- Experience across a wide range of Indirect Spend Categories including ICT spend
- Ability to work well under pressure, in a role that is fast-paced and involves multiple changing tasks and priorities
- Extensive experience with Supply Chain Management practices
- Exceptional verbal and written communication across all mediums
- Strong program and audit management experience
- Exposure to contract or category management an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders
- Be a self-starter with an innately curious and entrepreneurial nature
- Excellent analytical capability with the ability to administer efficient Procurement technologies
