Perth Heavy Haulage is a WA based family owned and operated transport company that provides heavy haulage transport Australia wide. Due to company growth, we are currently seeking a full-time Occupational Health and Safety Advisor.

**About the Role**:As an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring company policies and programs that promote a safe and healthy work environment. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the company complies with all current health and safety legislation and best practices, reducing or preventing hazards, accidents, and health issues

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Risk Assessment & Management**:

- _Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards._
- _Develop risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks._

**Policy Development & Implementation**:

- _Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation._
- _Ensure compliance with all health and safety laws and regulations._

**Training & Awareness**:

- _Conduct training sessions on health and safety practices and policies._
- _Increase health and safety awareness among employees_.

**Incident Investigation & Reporting**:

- _Investigate accidents or incidents to determine the cause and find ways to prevent them in the future._
- _Maintain records of incidents and accidents and provide statistical reports as required._

**Consultation & Communication**:

- _Serve as the point of contact for employees for all health and safety-related concerns._
- _Liaise with external health and safety authorities as required._

**Continuous Improvement**:

- _Regularly review and update health and safety strategies and policies._
- _Keep abreast of new legislation and best practices in the field._

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- _Relevant certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)._
- _Proven experience in an occupational health and safety role._
- _Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws and regulations_

**Skills and Attributes**:

- _Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills._
- _Strong communication and interpersonal skills._
- _Ability to conduct training and presentations._
- _Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills._
- _Capacity to work independently and collaboratively_

**Salary**: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
