**Overview**

The **Women’s & Children’s Health Network** provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

**The Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Perinatal and Infant Mental health Services team as a **Patient Services Assistant (PSA)** on a **part time basis, 12 month term contract**.

As a Patient Services Assistant (PSA) you will be responsible for contributing to client services provided to consumers admitted to Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Services, Helen Mayo House inpatient unit. Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you are required to have an understanding of confidentiality as you will be providing services to consumers from a wide range of cultures, backgrounds and circumstances and may be required to provide care to infants and young children.

In order to perform in the role, you must have well developed communication skills, verbal and written and basic IT competency.

**About You**

You will be rostered over a seven-day roster set roster (from 9:30am - 6pm):
Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday Friday

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in food preparation and/or food handling within a food service area including hotel, restaurant, health facility or childcare centre and providing care to infants and young children

You should have ability to perform work as instructed, under general direction and exercise limited judgement in the day to day execution of the role.
