Lux Foundry is seeking an experienced Barista to oversee daily coffee operations in an icon of Brunswick hospitality

We are a fun-loving, professional team with a focus on good vibes, great food, and exceptional service

**Who are we?**

Nestled in a heritage listed warehouse just off Sydney Road, Lux has developed into a breakfast and lunch Mecca over our 14 years of operation. We are a high-volume venue, committed to providing a warm, fun, and welcoming environment for staff and guests alike.

We are looking for someone as passionate about coffee as we are.

We are a fun, professional team with a focus on building relationships with our loyal customers and community.

Our ideal applicant will possess the following:

- Have a flair for coffee making and a love for all things coffee related.
- Experience dialing in, adjusting the grind and managing the machine solo during busy periods is highly preferred
- Be a natural team player with an energetic character.
- Flexible and available to work a variety of hours and days throughout a 7-day week (between the hours of 7.00am to 4:00pm).
- Available a minimum of 25-30 hours per week. (Weekends and public holiday availability a must)
- Ability to make awesome coffee, every time in a high paced environment.
- Take pride in their work while delivering a great product, consistently.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced coffee outlet, with high-volume coffee making.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A high standard of personal presentation.
- Have full working rights in Australia.
- Additional bar operating experience is an advantage, however not essential.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-38 per week

**Salary**: $23.50 - $34.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates
- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- BRUNSWICK, VIC 3056: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Food handling: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected Start Date: 04/09/2023
