Melbourne, Australia Ronald McDonald House Charities Vic & Tas Full time

About the role
- Support the families of seriously ill children
- Lead & grow people, profile and income
- Full-time position, Surrey Hills location

Ronald McDonald Houses are a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children being treated at nearby hospitals. Rather than spending the night in a hospital waiting room, family members can stay in comfort at a Ronald McDonald House and receive support from staff, volunteers or other families that are sharing similar experiences. Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent charity that relies on significant financial and volunteering support from the communities in which they work, including businesses and McDonald’s Australia.

The Head of Fundraising & Marketing is an exciting and meaningful senior leadership role that contributes to the growth and development of Ronald McDonald House Charities VIC & TAS by attracting and securing financial support. Their impactful programs include Family Rooms (Albury Wodonga Health, Monash Health, Northern Health & Western Health), the Learning Program and Houses (Parkville, Monash, Hobart and North Fitzroy). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, RMHC (VIC & TAS Chapter), and leading a dynamic team, this role will develop and implement the strategic and operational goals of the team. This multi-channel program encompasses various streams including philanthropic trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major gifts, bequests, individual giving, and community events such as Meals from the Heart, Ride for Sick Kids, Matched Giving Day, Adopt a Room, Golf Days and Gala Balls.

Securing significant funding through leveraging existing donor and volunteer networks will be important to propel the program to reach new milestones and sustainable revenue. You will also manage and deliver marketing and communication strategies that build audiences and engagement while ensuring a strong ongoing profile, consistent presence, and brand awareness. Excellent stakeholder engagement will be required to collaborate with a broad network, both internally and externally, including RMHC Vic & Tas Board, McDonald’s Licensees, and other RMHC House Chapters across Australia.

ABOUT YOU:

- Tertiary qualifications and work experience in fundraising, marketing, communications or a related discipline is essential, together with experience in the not-for-profit sector,
- Proven experience leading multi-channel fundraising programs including community engagement, individual giving and events, through to pipeline development, stewardship and solicitation of Major Donors,
- Strong people management skills to lead, grow and nurture a diverse team to achieve targets,
- Ability to engage, collaborate and influence a variety of stakeholders, supporters and relationships,
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management, reporting, and forecasting activities,
- Adaptable in your communication style and channels to address diverse audiences,
- Committed to the organisational values and culture of Ronald McDonald House Charities Vic & Tas.

if you are an empathetic, collaborative, and outcomes-focused leader with a proven track record of fundraising success, plus the desire to see the families of seriously ill children supported when they need it most.
