**_ About the role:_**

Reporting to the Victorian State Operations Manager, the Area Manager is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of high quality person-centered services to clients aligned to Able Australia’s Vision, Mission and Values.

In this role, you will demonstrate service excellence and will have the opportunity to use and develop your leadership, management and development skills. You will be an expert in optimising client’s plans to meet their needs and desires and achieve ‘better days every day’ for persons with a disability.

**This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position for 12 months (Maternity Leave coverage) based in the western suburbs.** Our head office is based in Surrey Hills.

**_ The role has responsibility, however not limited to the following key areas:_**
- Delivers visible leadership to a team, demonstrated by regular visits at all services, attendance at team meetings, providing supervision, reflective practice and annual reviews
- Ensures clients receive high quality individualised services that enable them to successfully achieve Support Plan goals, take part in meaningful activities, engage in social relationships and enjoy a quality of life, which is demonstrated in client experience satisfaction ratings
- Reviews and manages client-related documentation, including person-centred plans, health, behavioural plans, and incident and feedback reports
- Coaches, trains and mentors staff as required, and participates in staff planning, recruitment, service training and staff performance reviews
- Proactively manages financial performance across all responsible services
- Actively participates in budget, strategic and operational planning processes

**_ _**_Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:_**
- Sound leadership and management skills. Experience in managing a team professionally and positively, and leading successful change
- Well developed organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage the needs of clients and staff
- High level skills in developing high performance teams by creating collaborative working relationships, and gaining trust and respect from all stakeholders
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Solutions oriented with a high level of emotional intelligence and maturity
- Strong financial literacy along with the ability to understand and manage financial budgets
- Strong knowledge of legislation & regulation covering delivery of disability services to relevant state legislation or have worked in similar environments understanding of regulatory, legislative, quality & compliance requirements
- Sound understanding of NDIS and how to best maximise outcomes for clients

**_ _**_Qualifications & Training:_**

A tertiary qualification in disability services, management, aged, special education or health services or related field (highly desirable).

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current full Australian Drivers Licence
- Right to work in Australia
- Full Covid vaccination (3 shots)
