We're seeking a pro-active and energetic State Manager for approx 72 centres in NSW and ACT, with proven experience in driving performance and building team capability. Your core purpose will be to ensure we have the best centre director in every centre every day.

This position reports to the COO of Goodstart Early Learning.

Your Deliverables

Ensure centre directors and centre teams are enabled and empowered to uplift centre performance to meet and exceed the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart’s strategic goals and targets.
Lead succession planning and talent mapping of all Centre Directors and key centre leadership positions to ensure a pipeline of high-quality centre leaders and effective centre leadership teams across all centres in the state
Ensure all centres have a Centre Director presence; manage in-state resources to fill gaps as they arise
Effectively lead your team to deliver ongoing improvement in the quality of services, business performance, team capability and the reputation of centres in the state
Drive state business planning and performance
Provide input to the national operations strategy and budget process
Position Goodstart Early Learning in the state as a leading advocate for high quality early years learning for all children and as an effective collaborator with other providers, relevant government organisations and representatives
Create and sustain a culture where the state’s centres operate in accordance with Goodstart Early Learning’s Vision, Purpose, Guiding Principles and Foundations
Develop effective internal and external relationships with support and service roles and foster collaboration within the state
Ensure regulatory compliance, program quality, child and adult safety and operational targets

**You’ll bring to the table**:
Minimum 5 years of senior-level business management experience is highly desirable
Qualifications and Experience in Early Childhood Education Sector is highly desirable
Flexibility to undertake regular domestic travel and to work outside normal business hours as required is essential
Previous management experience with large groups of employees across multi-site operations is desirable
Excellent communication, change management and leadership skills
