Brisbane, Australia National Heavy Vehicle Regulator Full time

Reporting directly to the Manager, Procurement and Contracts, we have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Advisor to join our evolving team and really make a difference. This position will support all aspects of the procurement process (i.e. procurement assistance and advice, industry engagement, approach-to-market and evaluation and contracting) and be trusted with:

- Preparing end-to-end procurement activities including procurement planning; document and contract preparation; evaluation; supplier negotiation; supplier relationship; and contract management.
- Assisting Procurement BP’s with advice on Contract Management, Supplier Relationship and Supplier Negotiations Matters.
- Developing the procurement capability across the Region by designing, sourcing, and delivering training.
- Analysing and researching contractual issues and provide sound solutions.
- Promoting best practice procurement processes, demonstrating a thorough working knowledge of procurement policies and legislation.
- Monitoring the team inboxes and ensuring tasks are dealt with in a timely accurate manner.
- Identifying process improvements, providing ad hoc procurement advice, and being responsive to continuous change.

This is a permanent full time role **commencing in May 2024**, based in Gasworks Plaza, Brisbane. Working with a family-friendly team, we offer a supportive hybrid work environment with flexible work from home arrangements. **About you**

You will work with an experienced manager, who is invested in your development, and will support you with a seat at the table to voice your ideas and expertise. You will work with varied value contracts, adding diversity to your knowledge base and existing procurement skill set.

In return, we are looking for:

- Demonstrated experience in procurement roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement and supply and willingness to further advance qualifications in procurement e.g. obtain CIPS.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite.
- Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent highly desirable but not essential
