Communications Field Technician

**Date**:23 Apr 2024**Location**:Cremorne, VIC, AU, 3121**Company**:Ventia**About the role**
Reporting to the Field Manager, the primary purpose of the **Communications Field Worker **will be to complete routine maintenance works within a Telecommunications network inclusive of fault response, this may include business hours and after hours call outs. We are seeking **Expressions for interest** for some upcoming work across any of the major Australian states.
- The role duties include, and are not limited to:
- Surveying of sites for equipment picking, preparation and configuration
- Fault response, diagnosis and repair of Telecommunications equipment
- Installation and maintenance of racking, PDUs’, STSs’, UPSs’, WAPs’, Routers’
- Installations of fibre patch panels, cabling, conduiting
- Commissioning and Decommissioning of all relevant IT and Telcoms’ equipment with audit checklists and quality assurance documentation
- Dispose securely or transport redundant equipment back to Venita state office

**About you**- 3+ Years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound understanding and experience of ICT equipment deployment, configuration and provisioning
- Hands on approach to problem solving
- Ability to work in a team and on your own

**You will also have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT and or Telecommunications (Ideal)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Flexibility with working hours and availability to attend call outs as required
