HAYLO People are a specialist recruitment agency within personal injury. We are supporting an insurer looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor or Consultant ideally with a Masters in Rehab Counselling, Degree in Psychology, or other allied health degrees.

This is a permanent full-time role with the option to
**work from home 3 days** a week with the office based in
**Sydney CBD. **The business also offers a 9-day work week.

The ability to make the role your own, move away from a billable occupational rehab environment, and work directly for an insurer within NSW Workers Compensation.

**THE ROLE**:
This role is focused on claims with bullying harassment and workplace issues as causation. In this role, you will manage a small portfolio of claims within the first couple of weeks and make contact with stakeholders following notification of claims to establish a RTW plan upon a new claim being lodged. You will enjoy visiting employer offices to build early intervention strategies.
- Approximately 2 new claims per week; 3-4 site visits per week. The autonomy to build out your week based on visits.
- Quickly build an understanding of the claim, liaise with stakeholders to resolve them (or engage external mediation where required), outline the claim process and obligations, and establish the recovery plan.
- Coaching Case Managers through early intervention on psych claims and strategic reviews.
- Working with the wider claims team you will oversee treatment plans, return to work procedures & drive team outcomes, to ensure employees are quickly and affordably restored to their pre-injury activities.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Allied Health exposure (e.g. Rehabilitation Counsellor, Psychology, Occupational Rehab) is required specifically for managing mental health / psychological injuries.
- Experience in creating early intervention strategies and proactive return to work plans for psychological injuries within the NSW worker compensation scheme.
- Previous experience within Worker Compensation understanding of the return to work claims management process.
- Experience building relationships and managing priorities.
- A strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Ideally, 4+ years experience, and demonstrated experience in communicating and negotiating with stakeholders through complex matters. Any formal or informal mediation experience is greatly desired.
