We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow (Academic level C,D or E) at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research (Menzies), as part of the College of Health and Medicine at The University of Tasmania.

This role will see you join our newly established Cardiovascular Research Flagship, working with a team of 25 leading cardiovascular researchers. Your role will involve leading collaborations and activities to advance the Flagship’s work, conducting high-quality research, securing funding, publishing findings, and supervising students. Depending on your experience, you’ll also contribute to academic leadership, team building, fostering research, and supporting junior staff development. We’re looking for an exceptional researcher who is passionate about making a significant impact in reducing cardiovascular risk and improving clinical outcomes in Tasmania and beyond.

**What’s Required**

The role requires a significant research record in cardiovascular disease, demonstrated by high-quality publications, presentations, and funding success. Proficiency in successful research student supervision will see you succeed in this role. You’ve proven experience as an effective academic leader with team-building skills and the ability to foster excellence in research and teaching, relative to career stage and opportunity. Relationship building comes easily to you and you’ve an established local, national, and international network of relevant disciplines and communities.

A PhD in a relevant field is required.
