**The opportunity**
Your exciting new role will be to develop employee knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive performance and growth. Leading a small team, and working with key partners, to deliver high-quality training and coaching to staff and suppliers/partners where appropriate. As an integral member of our team, it will be your responsibility to:
- Manage the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of training and coaching programs in accordance with standards and compliance obligations.
- Manage instructional design, knowledge management system, and training delivery in line with legislative obligations and best practice.
- Proactively identify knowledge and skill gaps and develop training programs to resolve them.
- Provide a clear direction, purpose, and context for your team’s work, setting clear targets with agreed deliverables and timeframes for each team member, regularly assessing and providing feedback.
- Ensure training records are maintained to meet legislative requirements and company policy.
- Continuously develop your knowledge in the Learning and Development field by participating in networking (internally/externally), courses and other learning opportunities to ensure we are continuing to grow to provide best practice solutions that enhance employees learning experience.

**About you**
You will be a confident and passionate self-motivated individual who is solution oriented with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. We are also looking for:
- Experience in Learning and Development role or relevant equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead effective teams, and coach and develop others.
- Broad experience in identifying best training and knowledge management approaches to suit varying needs and achieve measurable, sustainable outcomes.
- Knowledge of Insurance or the Financial Services regulatory environment
- Demonstrated success in leading staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
- Outstanding attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be an innovative thinker with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
