**About the role**:
HMG makes things to last. We rely on business practices and work methods honed over more than 50 years to deliver products and services of superior quality. We increase the productivity, performance and profits of leaders across mining, oil and gas, energy, defence, construction, shipping, lift and shift, transport and agriculture by reducing their downtime and maintenance costs.
Based in Brisbane this role requires an experienced, motivated Engineering Manager you will report to the General Manager.
**Role responsibilities**:
- Oversee current and new processes & procedures for all engineering requirements within the company new
- Manage new projects development, liaising with all key departments and equipment suppliers.
- Provide Technical and specification requirements to all departments.
- Provide management and direction to Engineering, Technical, Drafting Department, Process Engineering & Continuous improvement team.
- Provide support and direction on all aspects of Process controls
- Ensure new product groups fit into existing production process, and new processes are developed correctly.
- Oversee all schedule timing for project, product & CI activities.
- Manage and keep updated all Documentation, Standards & Specifications for both HMG and our customer base.
- Manage the research & Development for new equipment and Technology as required for the company.
**About You**:
- Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
- Management experience of teams of 10+
- Knowledge of costing, Capex, BOM structures and procedures for purchasing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of 3D, 2D and Drawing disciplines
- Strong knowledge of process engineering & Route cause technics
- Strong knowledge of detailed time planning
- Knowledge of 5S & Safety standards
