Mechanical Engineer Position

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance Team at Wagners. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our operational staff with maintenance scheduling, plant improvement projects, and root cause analysis of failures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain accurate maintenance schedules to ensure optimal plant performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify and scope potential continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in the scheduling and scoping of plant shutdowns to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Provide support to production and maintenance staff with purchase orders and requisitions.
- Conduct monthly critical spares inventory stock takes to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Generate monthly plant performance reports that include key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reliability, availability, and specific energy costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and generate technical drawings.
- Experience working in a continuous manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems.
- Experience undertaking maintenance activities in a heavy industry environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
