ATSILS is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation that delivers innovative, professional criminal, civil and family law services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients throughout Queensland.
We are 50 years old, and have 250 staff including a specialist Through Care service to complement our legal services. We are fully government funded, and this Administration role is tied to ongoing funding, currently set to 30 June 2025.

Based in
Brisbane, you have opportunities to develop your People & Culture skills
providing a wide range of services in the Human Resources arena. Our offices
provide a rewarding social justice environment in one-to-one contact with internal
clients, prospective staff members and external service providers in person, by
phone and online. Specialisation
in talent acquisition and onboarding, training and consultation services in
staff wellbeing and safety, workplace change initiatives, with some regional
travel on workplace projects. Development in wellbeing, safety and
psychological health services is anticipated. From mid-2023 an intensive focus on recruitment and
onboarding is required due to our new funding success and substantial growth of
people and culture initiatives.

**Selection Criteria**:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA (6)

**1. Values**: Alignment to the values and
vision of ATSILS and an appreciation of and sensitivity to the challenges our
clients have faced, and continue to face, in their fight for and their right to
justice and equity.

**2. Qualifications**:
a minimum three
years’ full-time experience in a professional services environment and a
Diploma or Certificate IV in an HR-relevant qualification such as Administration,
Human Resources, Health and Safety, or Training & Assessment; ( OR equivalent
four years’ full-time work experience in a similar role using Microsoft
Office and Information System technology for Recruitment) is required.
Rehabilitation
workplace certification is well regarded, as is less work experience but with a
degree in Psychology or Business Administration (HR specialisation), or
equivalent.

**3. Administ rative skill**: e xcellent
communication skills, atop an ability to draft simple correspondence, collate
reports from Excel data, download reports from databases, and utilise Outlook
is required. Proven capacity in completing short projects
and multiple tasks in a policy-driven environment is highly valued.

**4. Human Resources co-ordination**: capacity to

**collect and organise data and correspondence for**:
onboarding, wellbeing and work attendance operations - ideally using an HR
Information System;
conducting web-based recruitment and using conferencing
equipment (e.g. Seek, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, LinkedIn, and any Learning
Management System) would be an advantage; and
aiding time and attendance or leave data for payroll
deadlines, employment interviews, onboarding, scheduling, dealing with changes
to schedules, health & safety, or performance matters.

prospective staff and students with workplace concerns in a highly secure

**6. Security and safety**: experience

(Australia-wide Disclosable Criminal History). This role requires a demonstrated ability to keep confidential private
data and sensitive information relating to employees.
