**Student Support and Specialist Programs**
The Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and specialist programs to support student engagement and opportunities including Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs.
The Assisted School Travel Program provides transportation services for students with additional needs from home to school and back to ensure all students are able to access education in NSW public schools. Student opportunities across all areas are enhanced through partnerships with industry specialists and stakeholders.

**About the role**

The role provides clerical and administrative support to achieve business results and customer service excellence in relation to disability programs and sport participation in schools. The role focuses on providing timely, reliable and efficient administration services through the effective use of tailored service delivery strategies.

**Key accountabilities**
- Provide SAP finance systems support including processing orders, payment of invoices and generation of reports.
- Provide a range of clerical and administrative services to support the operational functioning of the School Sport Unit.
- Organise meetings including agendas, minutes, catering and venues.
- Provide data entry, word processing, spreadsheet and other keyboard services to support the accurate and timely of information to and from the business unit.
- Maintain administrative records and files, complying with record management processes, to ensure information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible

**Essential requirements of the role**
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
