**About the role**

Sunnybank Private Hospital are currently seeking an experienced CSSD Technician and an experienced Endoscope Cleaning Gallay Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team on either a full time or part time basis.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Decontamination / Thermal disinfection, inspection, packaging and sterilisation of all instrumentation for theatre and external clinical areas
- Reprocessing of endoscopes within our endoscopy cleaning gallay as required
- Comply with AS/NZ standards 5369 2024, and GENCA Guidelines
- Operate, interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
- Report and document all quality activities
- Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

**Essential Criteria**:

- Certificate III in Sterilising essential
- Prior recent experience working with a Central Sterilising Services Department - preferred
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 5369 (2024) (formally, AS/NZ 4187 (2014))
- Sound knowledge of GENCA & GENSA guidelines
- Demonstrated knowledge of surgical / medical instrumentation and equipment
- Experience with tracking systems - desirable
- Endoscopy reprocessing experience or the willingness to learn
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and time management
- A positive attitude and exceptional customer services skills
- Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various databases
- An interest in promoting best practice patient care
- A focus on professional development
