**Your new role**

As the Operations Manager, you will be the cornerstone of the NRAS, providing unparalleled executive, contracting, and operations support. Your role will be multifaceted - from offering astute business and finance advice to our Director, shaping organisational structures, to steering our budget and activities. You will be the driving force behind our business and strategy development, adeptly managing resources and ensuring our strategic goals are not just met, but exceeded.

Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient management of NRAS operations, fostering extensive engagement with key stakeholders across various sectors. With your finger on the pulse of the national resilience and security market, you will ensure Curtin not only maintains but also expands its accreditations, including the critical Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) certifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Spearhead the day-to-day operations of NRAS, guaranteeing the effective delivery of our objectives.
- Collaborate with a broad spectrum of University stakeholders, enhancing our research, academic, and operational endeavours.
- Lead and inspire your team, driving staff engagement and fostering a culture of security and excellence.
- Navigate strategic and operational planning with finesse, aligning with the University's broader goals and ensuring compliance.
- Champion NRAS projects from conception to completion, providing essential business development support.
- Maintain rigorous oversight of security arrangements under the DISP program, ensuring Curtin's commitment to national security is unwavering.
- Exhibits proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of delivering results and adeptly managing change.
- Demonstrates exceptional strategic planning, financial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships with ease.
- Has a strong background in government and industry engagement within classified security domains, and is well-versed in the intricacies of University research agreements and defence and national security sectors.
- Graduate qualifications and a wealth of experience in business management within complex environments, ideally within a University, research centre, defence, or industry setting.

**Essential Requirements**:

- This role would normally be restricted to, and require you to maintain, Australian Citizenship. Consideration may be given to citizens of New Zealand, United States, Canada, or United Kingdom who have, or recently maintained a security clearance, if the clearance can be recognised by AGSVA.
