Are you looking for an Operations Manager role in the Process industry? I'm recruiting for a leading operator involved in the storage and distribution of fuels.

**About the Company**

My client operates in the Process sector and has ambitious growth plans to become Australia's leader in their field. With a core business and culture that's focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement, they are looking for an Operations Manager based at their new site in Western Australia, to facilitate key communication and assist with relationship management.

**The Role**

In this Operations Manager role, you'll ensure smooth operations with the client. You'll be responsible for negotiating interfaces on large and numerous key projects, keeping operations well informed and supported and keeping customer expectations high. Knowledge of permit systems would be advantageous to assist with smooth delivery of works.
- Key contact for the customer
- Provide input and advice to the project on operational matters
- Develop project requirements around operations training, procedures, etc.
- Provide operations support to the construction aspects of the project (e.g. permitting)
- Review design operability (e.g. via 3D Model Review and Design Reviews)
- Represent company at all project reviews and HAZOPs
- Review customer design documentation, advising on opportunities or potential issues
- Engage relevant in-house expertise and sign off customer documentation
- Establish a strong network both in-house and with customers to identify and implement value adding solutions
- Manage the requirements of the project and liaise with the site manager, ensuring that works can be completed safely and that customer expectations are managed
- Work collaboratively with the customer project team to build a strong customer focused working relationship
- Develop and implement solutions for resourcing customer projects during commissioning and operational stages
- Ensuring operational readiness for the project prior to commissioning, obtaining all required licenses and approvals
- Work with the customer project team to ensure successful commissioning and movement of the project into operate phase

**Skills and experience**
- Ability to interpret HSSE and engineering standards, policies and practices
- Ability to represent company values and behaviours to customers
- Strong experience in bulk fuel terminals operations
- Deep technical knowledge and understanding of terminal infrastructure
- Ability to generate commissioning and operating procedures and documentation to support customer projects
- Ability to generate operating and maintenance budgets, based on solid understanding of resourcing requirements
- An experienced communicator, team orientated and performance-based mentality
- Competent use of Microsoft Office 365 office suite of products
- Knowledge of HR/ER policy
