Senior / Principal Level Contracts - Fly in fly out role - Family-friendly roster
This global blue chip mining client has several high-value construction projects which have recently come online. As a result, they have a newly created role for a Senior Contract Specialist /Principal Contracts to work in their Major Projects team on a FIFO basis (5/2 4/3 roster)
About You
Ideally, you will hold a tertiary qualification (Quantity Surveying, procurement, engineering, business, or Law) with experience in procurement, vendor management, civil engineering, construction, mining and mineral resources industry and experience and a demonstrated understanding of project delivery.
**Skills**:
- Previous experience of a site-based role
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess a good understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions and contract form choice.
- Awareness of the various procurement routes available such as competitive tender, sole source, ECI’s, two-stage tenders.
- Understanding of cost models such as lump sum, reimbursable, target cost etc.
- Significant stakeholder management experience.
- Proficient in the GCMS/Bravo, MS Office Suite products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project; and
- Experience in working under a mature Contract Management System such as Procon, Aconex etc.
This role is offered on a family friendly 5 days on 2 days off / 4 days on 3 days off roster.
