As the National Distribution Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth stock management, minimizing stockouts, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our distribution network. You will have 3 state based direct reports who are responsible for daily outbound distribution, total warehouse stock management, paper and recycled fibre planning functions.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Fibreline Optimization Manager and based at our office in Essendon Fields (with regular site visits in Victoria), you will be a part of the broader Operational Excellence/ Supply Chain team at Visy.

Your primary responsibility will be to plan the distribution of paper rolls to ensure the correct levels of inventory are stocked, stored in the right location at the correct time mitigating any stockouts in corrugated box factories and other customer locations.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Strategically manage stock levels per SKU at our box plants to ensure they remain above minimum thresholds.
- Develop effective stock location plans to support stock building and reduction initiatives.
- Utilize consumption and stock-on-hand data to identify potential future stockouts and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate closely with the National Production Coordinator to create a proactive schedule that minimizes out-of-stock situations.
- Lead and guide the team of planners in creating evacuation plans for external warehouses and planning future loads efficiently.
- Generate and distribute daily reports, ensuring effective communication with the broader team.

**To be considered you must have**:

- Experience within inventory planning / replenishment / allocation within a multi warehouse and production environment is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on achieving operational excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Outstanding relationship building, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, will form the foundation of your successful long-term career with us
