**Position Information**:
Narraweena Public School is located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and has a current enrolment of 510 students. Students come from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds with 2% of students identifying as Aboriginal and 37% from language backgrounds other than English. Innovative and dynamic staff provide leadership that inspires learning across all key learning areas.

Extra-curricula opportunities and enrichment programs including: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), creative and performing arts, High Potential Gifted Education (HPGE) and sport, focus on challenging students to reach their full potential. Student wellbeing and individual needs are a key focus supported by tailored programs such as the Positive Behaviour for Learning and the Smiling Minds initiatives.

The school culture is one of connectedness, inclusion and belonging with students, staff, parents and the wider community working together to promote school excellence. The school benefits from an active and supportive Parents and Citizens Association and strong connections with local businesses.

3. Demonstrated success in leading highly effective and evidence-informed initiatives to support student and staff wellbeing.

4. A strongly committed, student-centred leader that maximises opportunities for every student to reach their potential across all domains.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
