**ABOUT THE DIVISION & BRANCH**

**Property and Construction Division**:
Property and Construction Division offers a range of dynamic roles that allows staff to play a central role in strategic leadership and implementation programs and projects, related to Commonwealth property policy, which is a critical enabler supporting agencies to deliver on the Government’s priorities.

**Specifically, the Division**:

- Works across Government and the private sector to provide policy, regulatory and commercial analysis, advice and guidance to support value for money decisions on property-related policy issues and management, including through the use of strong data and analytical capability;
- Administers the WoAG Property Services Coordinated Procurement Arrangements (WoAG Arrangements) for property-related services
- Leads strategically and collaboratively to maximise value for money from the Commonwealth’s significant leased footprint through the Commonwealth Leasing Strategy;
- Delivers major capital works and land remediation projects for Government;
- Manages an extensive property portfolio, including divesting surplus properties;
- Builds and maintains constructive relationships across governments, the private sector and academia on property issues and opportunities; and
- Administers the _Lands Acquisition Act 1989_ and the _Public Works Committee Act 1969_.

**Whole of Australian Government Property Services Branch**:
The Branch is responsible for managing the WoAG Arrangements that cover leasing and facilities management services for Commonwealth domestic office accommodation and shopfronts.

The WoAG Arrangements improve the efficiency of property services across the Commonwealth and maximise value for money by consolidating the Commonwealth’s purchasing power.

There are two parts to the WoAG Arrangements:

- A Strategic Property Adviser to develop and maintain a WoAG Leasing Strategy; and
- Property Service Providers to deliver leasing and facilities management services to participating entities.

The Branch also manages the Lease Endorsement process under Commonwealth Property Management Framework (Resource Management Guide (RMG) 500).

**ABOUT THE**
**OPPORTUNITY**

Work as a leader as part of a vibrant and cohesive team responsible for managing the WoAG Arrangements with private sector providers that cover leasing and facilities management services for Commonwealth domestic office accommodation and shopfronts.

The role will comprise of a range of activities, including:

- Provide high quality contract management and strategic leasing services to maximise value for money outcomes for the Commonwealth property portfolio in accordance with the RMG500 and the Commonwealth Leasing Strategy.
- Manage program delivery to provide high quality advice, guidance and tools to support entities and PSPs with the smooth delivery of property services including key deliverables and the achievement of desired outcomes under the WoAG Arrangements.
- Responsible for leading a team, including providing clear communication and guidance, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, optimising performance, delegating responsibility, managing workflows and developing staff members.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement, better practice and innovation to develop and enhance processes and advice, and/or manage programs or projects.
- Identify program risks including through analysis and due diligence and propose and implement solutions to mitigate impacts on stakeholders and the achievement of program objectives.
- Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders, both within the private and public sectors, to lead or contribute to projects and other initiatives to enhance the WoAG Arrangements.
