This is your opportunity to be part of the Office of the Independent Assessor's(OIA) councillor conduct complaints assessment team. You will be assigned councillor conduct complaints to read and present at assessment meetings which can be held daily. You will use your analytical skills to present an initial outline of each matter to senior staff, answering questions and following up any outstanding information. You will form effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and, where necessary, engage professionally and sensitively with complainants, councillors, and local government employees to obtain the necessary information.

As part of the assessment team, you will assist your fellow colleagues by entering into the case management system all assessment outcomes, including reasons for assessment. You will use your writing, editing and proofreading skills to draft correspondence communicating assessment outcomes in an accurate and succinct manner, working with the Deputy Independent Assessor to ensure that all correspondence is of a high standard.

You will ensure you manage your correspondence so that all tasked assessment correspondence is undertaken within set timeframes. You will send all completed correspondence to the relevant parities and respond to any administrative inquiries arising from your correspondence. In return for your commitment to your role you will be well supported and will work closely with the Deputy Independent Assessor in this important role.
