**_Melbourne Airport is seeking a geospatial officer to support and ensure Melbourne Airport's vision to develop a digital twin of the airport as it continues to evolve_**

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced GIS Manager to join our Engineering & Asset Management team. Reporting to the Digital Asset Information Manager, this role will contribute to the development implementation and oversight of strategies and solutions that enables APAM's (Australia Pacific Airport Melbourne) continuous evolution in its vision to develop a digital twin of the airport.

**Key responsibilities**:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Effectively lead and manage a high performing team of GIS and spatial data specialists to deliver Melbourne Airport’s digital information roadmap and integration of data from Airport construction activities and operations.
- Support technical implementations of APAM digital asset strategy.
- Ensure timely delivery, review and approval of project deliverables and requests.
- Research and develop innovations and solutions that drive continuous improvements in end-to-end spatial information management and utilization enabling high value use cases.
- Develops performance reporting on data quality and system effectiveness to measure performance of the GIS system, communicating to relevant stakeholders.

**Background**
- Demonstrable technical proficiency in GIS platforms including but not limited to ESRI, QGIS, etc and spatial data operations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare high quality reports and or proposals.

**Experience**
- Utility operation and/or Engineering Consultancy and/or Tier 1 Infrastructure Construction experience preferred.
- A minimum of 8-years of experience in GIS development, implementation, and management
- Experience in the design and implementation of spatial databases including ESRI geodatabases, SQL Server native spatial and PostgresSQL/PostGIS.
- Demonstrated experience in geospatial data processing and analytics workflows.
- Knowledge in administration of Spatial Servers
- Experience in delivering client facing projects and managing teams.

**Qualifications**
- A tertiary qualification in GIS, Geoinformatics, Geography, Engineering, computer science, or a related field.
