The Information Security Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the Information Management and Security function across the organisation. The role will develop and implement the information management strategy and cyber security strategies supporting policies and procedures.

This involves managing a team that assesses cyber security risks, provides cyber security awareness, ensures compliance, oversees vulnerability management and ensures conformance to legislation and industry standards for records management and security compliance. There is significant focus on cyber monitoring, detection, response and mitigation so the role must ensure appropriate controls, tools and automation are in place to deliver to these objectives.

You will be a critical hands-on technical resource with a strong depth and breadth of knowledge across the security environment who manages risks related to information security, physical security, business continuity planning, crisis management, privacy, and compliance.

What you're doing;
Develop a Cyber Security Strategy and Governance Framework that aligns with industry frameworks and controls, such ASD ISM, NIST CMF, NIST RMF, etc.
- Work with colleagues in the infrastructure team to develop and define configuration baselines for STL devices that align with industry best practices

- Ensure appropriate tools are in place to monitor successful deployment and compliance of agreed baselines

**Information Management**
- Responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of State Trustees Information Management Framework and Strategy
- Fosters a culture of quality information capture, update, use and management across the organisation
- Ensures State Trustees’ ongoing compliance with legislation and standards affecting information management in the Victorian public sector
- Strategic thinking to develop and implement strategies for progressing digital information management maturity

**Essential**:

- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Substantial knowledge, capability and experience in leading security teams.
- Intimate knowledge of industry security organisations, such as ACSC, CIS, NIST, DISA, etc, and the frameworks and control libraries they prepare and release
- Extensive experience developing and implementing Cyber Security strategies.
