**HME Asset Health Specialist (Ancillary)**
**Work Location**:Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
**Roster**: Monday to Friday
The key purpose of the Asset Health Specialist (AHS) is to improve the reliability of FMG’s Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet through initiatives including (but not limited to):
- Enhancement of corrective maintenance; identifying and resolving faults before they become failures
- The development & implementation of new condition-based maintenance strategies
- The optimisation of current condition monitoring techniques
- The development & advancement of FMG’s Predictive Maintenance Platform (PMP)
- The relentless optimisation of maintenance costs & processes
The AHS is expected to proactively identify, coordinate & deliver improvement initiatives with an attitude and spirit that embodies the Fortescue Values. Using their experience & technical knowledge, any issues are quickly identified and resolved through innovative thinking & responsive action.
The role also involves developing and implementing a central Predictive Maintenance Platform (PMP). The PMP monitors and analyses various equipment data, identifies potential equipment defects and, via the Condition Monitoring Analyst team, coordinates the appropriate corrective action. The AHS role encompasses the development of HME health data analytics, in order to identify equipment failure trends and signatures that can be used to prevent the recurrence of similar failures across the mobile fleet.
The AHS also coaches new team members & graduates, coordinates work among stakeholders and freely shares their substantial technical knowledge with the wider engineering team.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Develop and implement cross site projects to improve FMG's HME Asset Health Capability
- Lead the development and optimisation of condition-based maintenance strategies for HME fleet
- Liaise and coordinate with the operations team to ensure HME Fleet are operated within their designed specifications
- Engage & support maintenance execution teams through regular site visits and interactions
- Investigate and implement new technologies that will support and improve FMG HME asset health monitoring
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- 3-5 years mining experience in a mobile maintenance environment
- Reliability Engineering/Condition monitoring experience (desirable)
- Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in Mechanical or similar disciplines is essential
- High-level computer literacy including Tableau, data querying (SQL/Snowflake)
