Santos has a regional operating model with a strong local focus. The Company’s operating structure comprises three regional business units focused on enabling and executing corporate strategy. Two divisions - Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids - are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.

**About the Role**

Key accountabilities include:

- Perform sourcing and contract management for key categories - Chemicals, Industrial Gases, Fuels & Consumables (~$45m spend value) across all assets to deliver sustained value to the company.
- Work collaboratively with multiple key stakeholders to ensure business needs are understood and sourcing strategies aligned.
- Identify and deliver cost and business efficiency outcomes.
- Develop negotiation plans in collaboration with Procurement Team Leader and stakeholders, ensuring pre-approval for possible fallback positions and authority to negotiate effective outcomes. Lead negotiations and work with negotiation teams to ensure a united approach.
- Managing and maintaining health of assigned contracts in line with the approved category strategy.
- Ensure security of supply through effective risk identification and mitigation

**About You**
- Previous experience in oil and gas, heavy manufacturing, or similar industry is preferred.
- Extensive procurement experience and knowledge in Procurement, Category Management and / or Strategic Sourcing.
- Experience in Commercial Negotiations, Contract Terms and Conditions, Supplier Relationship Management.
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders across various geographical locations.
- Further to this any experience in the following will be looked upon favourably:

- Previous experience working with systems and tools such as SAP and Coupa
- This role will suit agile and adaptable individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy the challenge of managing a variety of stakeholders, from those at GM level and above, as well Engineers and Technical SME’s.
