**About the Role**

As the Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for the contracting and management of specified major commodity groups across the University (Office Supplies, Promotional Merchandise, Document Output Devices, Temporary & Contract Labour Hire Services, Research Equipment). You will be accountable for the end to end sourcing and vendor management process for selected categories (collectively referred to as Category Management) in order to achieve competitive cost structures, mitigate identified risks and optimise the quality of goods and services provided. This role is offered as a temporary opportunity until the end of June 2024.

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in Category Management within a large organisation
- Demonstrated experience in managing and providing advice on all aspects of complex procurement processes for goods and services, including preparation of contract bid packages, tendering and contract administration and supplier management
- Significant experience conducting complex negotiations
- High level presentation skills and written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically
