Our Training Delivery team are an integral part of managing the skills and experience of our workforce capability in the rail network, ensuring they operate in a safe manner by having the right training for the job.
This opportunity sits in our Network Career & Development team based at our Brisbane CBD office at Central Station.

**About the role**
As the Apprentice Coordinator you will be working directly with the hiring managers, the apprentices and RTOs to ensure the apprentices are completing the required training for their apprenticeship completion. This includes assisting in the planning process to ensure safe, cost effective, timely and high-quality service is met.

**Daily overview**:

- Coordinate the provision of training to apprentices/trainees to ensure they achieve the required competencies of their apprenticeship/traineeship
- Review agreed apprentice numbers and manage the delivery of services from external providers such as Supervising Registered Training organisations, Australian Apprenticeships Support Network (AASN) providers, and the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT).
- Represent the interests and needs of apprentices and trainees across SEQ Assets & Regional, identifying and facilitating development
- Provide guidance and coaching to assigned tradespeople to build mentoring capability and ensure that the required apprentice and trainee skills are achieved.

**We are looking for**
- Strong communication, time management and administration skills.
- Proven background working in a team and autonomously.
- Passion for learning and developing team culture.
- Previous experience working with apprentices would be favourable but not essential.
- Travel will be required to remote Qld locations to support our apprentices.
