**Role Summary**:
As part of the internal audit team you will be responsible for executing the audit program for the Asia Securities Services business within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). The position, based in Sydney, is part of the Asia Pacific Securities Services Team responsible for audit coverage across Asia for custody, accounting, administration, Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) servicing, middle office, foreign exchange, liquidity management, securities lending, collateral management, performance management and data solutions to institutional investors. This role offers the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the business through working closely with stakeholders across 1st and 2nd lines, as well as IA colleagues within the region and globally to influence a strong control environment. The individual may have the opportunity to participate in broader CIB audits also.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Execute audits to a high standard in accordance with department and professional standards while ensuring audits are completed timely and within budget
- Establish and manage strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the organization
- Partner closely with business and technology audit colleagues in the design and execution of a comprehensive audit coverage program
- Communicate audit issues and results clearly and concisely, contributing to the delivery of impactful audit reports
- Employ computer-assisted auditing tools / data analytics procedures to drive greater efficiency and breadth of audit coverage
- Contribute towards a culture that encourages integrity, respect, diversity, excellence and innovation

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**:

- Education to degree standard (or equivalent) in an Accounting, Finance or related discipline, and/or other relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CPA, CIA etc.). Strong accounting background is an advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years internal/external audit or relevant business experience within a financial services organization preferred
- Good understanding of internal controls and risk assessment concepts is required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, inquisitive with a strong desire to learn new concepts and understand the business environment
- Self-Leadership - adapts to a changing environment; enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure
- Willing to take personal responsibility / accountability, proven ability to support execution of audits / projects in a team environment
- Knowledge and experience in performing audit work across custody and fund administration business is desirable
- Experience working with data analytics and, any or all of the following would be highly desirable: Alteryx, Qlikview, Tableau, Business Object
