About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Court Triage and Housing Worker You will assist referred clients to address issues exacerbating their risk of homelessness. Additionally, overall outcomes are to reduce ongoing homelessness and re-offending among court support participants.

Responsibilities include
- Assist clients who have experienced family violence, or are at risk of family violence, to access flexible support packages
- Work autonomously to manage daily workload in line with service delivery
- Use of trauma informed model of care, provide outreach and case management to clients referred from Court Services Victoria
- Case management support, including outreach support provided to clients
- Support clients to develop individual case plan and journey towards goals

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Coburg, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.

What you will have
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related community service field.
- Degree level preferred however lower qualifications with significant experience _(suitable)_
- Ability to respond to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness
- Knowledge of homelessness sector including role, regulation and legislation
- Applies homelessness models and practices when dealing with clients
- Knowledge of the Justice system and experience working within correctional settings_ (highly desirable)_
- Experience in working with a range of stakeholders and networks
- A current Driver's Licence
