**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our **Production team** in our BlueScope Coated & Industrial Products business as an **Operations Coordinator**. Reporting to the Processing and Logistics Manager, you will **lead a team of 10 team members** to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.

Being in a leadership role, that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will lead, motivate and develop our high performing team to meet and exceed our customer needs. You will also focus on continuous improvement initiatives as you drive the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

**What Will You Do?**

While engaging and leading the team, you’ll actively participate in providing the required operational discipline and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with the production team and be responsible for:

- developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders
- promoting well-being and inclusive behaviours
- supporting operational contractor management, cost efficiencies and prompt service with a view to operational efficiency
- planning & working through large volume fluctuations due to significant weather events as well as critical project timelines
- ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPS) and audit requirements
- providing coaching and mentoring to direct reports and team members
- ensuring safety standards are never compromised making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
- managing shift operations to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards
