**About the Role**

We are currently looking for a **Manager, Strategy & Performance** to lead the delivery of high-quality business planning across the WPCA, in alignment with our Corporate Strategy. The role drives alignment of business operations, procedures and processes across the WPCA through the business planning process, monitors the implementation of business plans and leads the design and delivery of robust and efficient performance management frameworks.

The role also supports WPCA senior leaders by managing and overseeing strategic reviews of issues and programs aimed at driving improvements in the WPCA’s capability and capacity to deliver on our strategic outcomes and objectives. The role helps manage cross-functional issues affecting the organisation as required, such as organisational improvement and the provision of high-quality, visually engaging and informative dashboard reporting.

**About you**

We are looking for an outcomes-focused, lateral thinker, who has a passion for developing strategic solutions to complex problems. Ideally, you’ll have demonstrated experience in translating ideas into action by joining the dots for senior stakeholders through robust business planning, and by partnering with colleagues to drive business improvements across an organisation.

A background in strategy consulting or related field, and strong capability in utilising PowerPoint and PowerBi (or equivalent data visualisation tools) would highly regarded.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- Tertiary qualification in business, economic, finance, policy or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in strategic business planning and co-ordination within a complex organisation (either public or private sector).
- Capacity to quickly develop a sound knowledge and understanding of all WPCA’s initiatives, and their critical success factors.
- Demonstrated capability in utilising interactive data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI) and PowerPoint to support and inform strategic decision-making.
- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Capacity to develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the relevant policies and statutory requirements that underpin the operations and the broader public sector operating environment.
- Excellent issue management skills with the capacity to manage complex and sensitive issues.

The Western Parkland City Authority (WPCA) is responsible for coordination, delivery, and investment attraction across the Western Parkland City, in collaboration with State and Commonwealth government agencies and with local councils. The Western Parkland City is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. By 2036, it will make up more than a quarter of the state’s entire population growth. By 2056, it is expected to be home to two million people - five times the size of Canberra.
